Barbara Burchfield is the Office Administrator for the Orange County office of Theodora Oringher Miller & Richman PC, a premier California business transaction and litigation law firm with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County. Barbara brings 25 years of legal administration experience to the Firm's management team.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2006, she was Regional Office Manager for the law firm of Bonne Bridges Mueller O'Keefe & Nichols in Santa Ana for 17 years. During her tenure, she also was the legal secretary for the managing partner, a busy trial attorney. Thus, Barbara brings a breadth of law firm experience, including both trial and appellate work. Early in her legal management career, she was Office Manager/Assistant to the Managing Partner for a plaintiff's law firm in Orange County.
This extensive background in legal administration and management provides Barbara with a unique perspective in her leadership role in our Orange County office. She knows first-hand what is expected of legal secretaries and support staff, as well as what the work pressures are like to deliver high quality service to our lawyers. That experience contributes greatly to Barbara's successful management of the administration of our Orange County office.
Barbara graduated from California State University, Long Beach with Honors and obtained her Secondary Teaching Credential from the University of California, Irvine.
She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and active in the Orange County Chapter. Barbara is also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a philanthropic organization that raises funds for medical research.
